Start Here (PrestaShop)

Use this page as the entry point for a PrestaShop store. If you are installing or operating the module, stay in the PrestaShop section first. Reference pages are linked when the same behavior applies across platforms.

For a clean first launch, complete these four steps in order. Each step ends with a visible result; do not move to the next step until the result matches.

  1. Install (Install (PrestaShop)). Expected outcome: Kea Labs Search Pro appears in Modules -> Module Manager, opens the embedded dashboard, and shows setup progress on Search Operations Home.
  2. Check storefront in preview (Verify in Preview (PrestaShop)). Expected outcome: a storefront query returns Kea-powered results on a preview build without affecting live shoppers.
  3. Enable for shoppers (Go Live (PrestaShop)). Expected outcome: live search is on, the storefront works in a private browser window, and Search Operations Home shows no critical warning.
  4. Fix issues if needed (Troubleshooting (PrestaShop)). Run this only if any earlier step did not produce the expected result.

After setup, the embedded dashboard is organized around these work areas:

Work area Use it for Docs
Search Operations Home readiness, preview, publish, live status, analytics summary, diagnostics Search Operations Home
Search Management synonyms, searchable fields, field priorities, facets/filters, setup wizard Search Management
Storefront Search Interface live search mode, Search Box settings, selector placement, Theme colors Storefront Search Interface
Advanced Customization CSS variables, selectors, templates, product-card markup, Empty Query content Advanced Customization

There are two different kinds of customization:

Kind Where it lives When to use it
No-code dashboard settings UI Settings -> Integration, Theme, Search Box, Card Template You want to change the active search mode, selector placement, search-box behavior, product count/layout controls exposed by the current view, color tokens, or product-card template settings.
Advanced technical customization CSS files, documented --kea-* variables, data-kea-* markers, and supported template fields You need custom styling or markup beyond the dashboard controls, and a developer/theme integrator will maintain the change.

Start with the no-code dashboard settings. Use advanced customization only when the dashboard does not expose the change you need.

After the module is live, use these references for operational work:

PrestaShop pages contain the actual back-office menu paths and current embedded-dashboard entry points. Reference pages explain behavior that is the same across platforms.
